There are multiple spaces in this film, in the present and past, internal spaces of collective subjectivity and a school. The role of sound in this film is to place-make these spaces and create a flow. Like a triange with the peak at the middle point the spaces merge and unmerge as we land in a different place than we started, that yet is the same school.
